Introduction
This page links to our new
online personal ads and dating service. You can access the service by clicking on
the link lower down this page. But first, please note the following.
This a new service which
currenly has very limited membership. ( It takes a little time to build the sort of
client base we require.) You may therefore wish to subscribe also to other services
listed on our Personal Ads and Dating
Page . Please do not let that deter you from subscribing to this service
too. Your ad will have greater prominence here, and it will cost you absolutely
nothing at all!.
Registration
To place ads, you first need to register. To do this, click
on the 'GO TO PERSONAL ADS' link at the bottom of this page, then click on the 'register
now' option at the top of the next page. At the present time, registration and use
of the service are entirely free of charge. At some future date it may become
necessary to introduce a modest charge to cover running costs. Meanwhile, all
aspects of the service are ENTIRELY FREE!
Posting Ads on the System
Once registered, members can post 'open' adverts on the system -
by including appropriate information in their online profiles. Alternatively they
can send private messages to each other, without these being visible to other
users. Private messages are sent and received using a member's username or
'handle' - without the need to know full personal details or email addresses.
There are also Online Forum and Chat Room options where members can
meet and communicate and share their views. Members may also, if they wish, use
their Forum profiles to record details of any Instant Messaging Services to which they
subscribe, increasing further the scope for communication between members. (For more

Photographs
Photographs are an important part of online personal ads.
Profiles which contain at least one photo typically receive between eight and ten
times as many hits as those which do not. Ideally, you should aim to have three
or four good quality photographs in the gallery which accompanies your profile. Please

Problems
If you experience any serious difficulty in using personal ads,
please tell us about your problem. To do this you can use the 'Contact Us' option
near the bottom of the right hand menu on this page. Better still, use the
'Feedback' option in the menu at the bottom of your 'Online Personals' Home Page - and we
will do our very best to help. There is also an 'Online Personals' option called
'FAQ' (frequently asked questions) which contains most of the user information you are
likely to need.
To get the best from the service, 'cookies' need to be enabled on
your computer. This should not be a problem for most computers. (It is normally the
'default' setting.)
