There are many auction houses dealing in photographs and photographic equipment on the
Web. Some deal primarily, or even exclusively, in 'photographica'.
Others cover a much broader field, and photography is only one of many areas
covered. The following selection looked particularly interesting to us - either
because of the international stature of the organisations concerned (e.g. Sothebys,
Christies etc) or the sheer quality and strength of their web presence (e.g.
FocalPoint f/8). Predictably, most of the sites are US-based.
We need hardly say (but we will anyway!) that we cannot vouch in any way for the
operating standards or practices of companies listed here.. ('Caveat Emptor' should
be your motto - but have fun anyway!).
From July 2000, we are also pleased to offer our very own ParkPhoto Online Auction Service which visitors to this site may
use to auction photographic prints, photographic equipment and other items of

Only Photo Print Auctions.. Very well-organised technically, and very well
presented. On-line 'forms-based' bidding - or you can place your bid by postal
mail, email, fax or telephone. (Don't be put off if you simply want to browse
rather than place a bid. But it is very easy - and very tempting - to place a
