Fine Art Photographic Images:An On-line Brochure |
|||
IntroductionThis brochure describes our limited edition Fine Art Photographic Images. (You may wish to save this brochure to disk, or print a hard copy on your local printer, for future reference.) What is a Fine Art Photograph?The term 'Fine Art' is used here simply to describe images that exist for their own sake - for visual enjoyment rather than for advertising, commercial illustration or other 'functional' purpose. We do not claim any 'high art' status or any special investment value for our photographs. We offer them simply for their visual appeal. All of our images are, however, carefully selected for their aesthetic quality and are painstakingly printed, processed and (where appropriate) window mounted to the highest archival standards. In this sense they can be described as 'collectable' photographic art. Please see our Technical Notes on the importance of archival processing standards. We also have Collectors' Notes for those with a special interest in this area. All of the images in our Picture Gallery may be purchased as Fine Art Photographs. Monochrome PhotographsOur monochrome images ares available in four formats. Our 'unlimited edition', 8 in x 6 in photographs are conveniently presented in a simplified window-mount. This mount does not have a conventional backing-board, the print being directly mounted onto the reverse of a 12 in x 10 in sheet of conservation board which has a window aperture cut out of the centre. The photographs are hand-printed on resin-coated (not fibre) paper, toned and signed by the photographer. These photographs are offered at an attractive budget price, ready for insertion into your own 12 in x 10 in frame. Our 'unlimited edition', 11 in x 8 in photographs are printed in the centre of a substantially larger (15in x 12in) sheet of paper, providing a two-inch plain white margin for ease of framing. The paper is high quality resin-coated (not fibre) paper. These photographs, which are hand-printed, toned and signed by the photographer (but are 'unlimited' and unmounted), provide a very affordable alternative to our limited edition archival prints. Our 'unlimited edition', 14 in x 11 in photographs are printed in the centre of a larger (15in x 12in) sheet of paper, providing a half inch plain white margin for ease of mounting/framing. The paper is high quality resin-coated (not fibre) paper. These photographs, which are hand-printed, toned and signed by the photographer (but are 'unlimited' and unmounted), provide a very attractive and affordable alternative to our limited edition archival prints. Our Limited Edition Fine Art Photographs are 15 in x 12 in images, hand-printed, toned and archivally window-mounted on 20 in x 16 in high-quality white museum board. They are individually numbered in limited editions of 50 and are signed by the photographer. As an aid to proper care and conservation, details of the photographic paper, mount board, adhesives (if any) etc are given on the reverse of the mount. Limited Edition Prints are window-mounted but unframed. For an additional charge, limited edition prints can also be framed. Framing options include a 20in x 16in tasteful 'satin-black' wooden frame with a faint touch of blue colour-wash (subtle and effective) and a gold sight line. Alternatively, there is a more expensive, 20in x 16in, top quality metal frame with a plain 'satin-black' finish. Frames are glazed with 2mm acrylic (perspex/plexiglass) sheet for safety in transit. Current prices for each of these options are shown in our Images Price List CopyrightAll Park Photo Services images are copyright and must not be copied without our permission. To safeguard our copyright, we use digital watermarking software from Digimarc Corporation. This software embeds, throughout the image, an invisible digital security code which cannot be removed without making the image unusable. Our images are therefore identifyable wherever they are used, whether as digital files or as conventional hard-copy output.
