| The images in CMPL's catalogue are not 'for sale', in the conventional
sense, but are 'rented' for publication, on payment of a licence fee. Although
we can provide broad guidance on licence fees, there is no fixed fee for use of an image,
each request being priced individually according to circumstances. Before quoting a
fee, CMPL will need to know the full range of use to which an image will be put. And, once
a licence is issued, the image may not be used outside the terms of that licence.
To avoid any misunderstanding, we should point out that unlicensed use of images owned
by CMPL constitutes breach of copyright and will
normally attract substantial penalties.
Before placing an order with CMPL, therefore, you need to consider in detail the manner
in which you propose to use your chosen image or images. Once you have planned your
usage, use our Quotation form to send us details of the
images you have chosen, and the manner in which you would like to use them.
We will contact you promptly with details of costs and, once the fee is agreed (by
letter or by email) we will release copies of the images in an appropriate format.
This may mean original transparencies or, more usually, high
resolution digital files. The latter can be sent to you by email or downloaded from a secure area on our server.
For existing customers, payment will normally be against our invoice - which will be
submitted in the usual way. However, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion,
to require payment in advance by credit card. New customers will normally be
required to pay by credit card.
Credit card payments are handled via PayPal.
